And before the usual suspects jump in to gloat over some breaking of the rules, that this comment isn’t about Puna or Hawaii, let me be clear, I am talking about Puna, and Punaweb.

You are the world.

Mod 2: We're discussing Hawaii and its formation. I'd appreciate it if you didn't interrupt the discussion with irrelevant stuff about battle fronts.

Didn't think it was heated or a battle, but if it's not cool, no worries, can cut bait and head back to shore. Cheers!

I don't think it's heated at all; it's a discussion/argument that is normal when people have different views. There's been disagreement and different points of view, but not battle fronts. I respect ironyak's views. I hope he respects mine, but we're not launching missiles at each other. So please, mod 2, calm down.

He ain't got anymore, or less, than a need to suck someone's energy. Calls the things he knows nothing about evil, but is not willing to be held to account. He babbles on as if he knows.. when in fact he ain't got enough gray matter to know. he's just another 'true believer' with his own special brand of religion.. his own god.

He has faith in his beliefs.. in his own way of clinging to a ridged reality so as to keep himself from going mad. He's an insecure control freak who lives in fear of losing control. He thinks he knows because he'd go out of his mind if he knew he's incapable of knowing..

Kinda reminds me of Arthur Lee's

You think you are happy
And you are happy
That's what you're happy for

But no matter, he's a Punatic. They come in all shapes and sizes.

And yes, Yak, the Hawaiians know the science of, they just embellish it in a form Tom is unwilling to comprehend.

Why do you cling to your beliefs? Why do you insist your's are the only beliefs that are worthy of consideration?

Why do you call the things you don't know evil? Why do you keep deflecting?

By my measure you're the only one here made of straw.

I don't cling to beliefs; I cling to scientific evidence.

And that is your belief.

You have no proof. All you have is your assumptions, and you cover the weakness in your argument with excuses about changing data. Well, so does everyone else.

What we know of the life of Jesus changes

What we know of how the Earth was formed, how stars are born, changes.

You don’t know, but OMG you have faith. And so does all the rest of them.

The difference is you demand that you are right and you call the rest of the world wrong. You are no different than any other charlatan. You believe in your conclusions and tell yourself they are the right ones based on your beliefs in what you call facts.

Who gives a * about your facts when you belittle, demean, and call all the other beliefs evil? You sound like a terrorist. Just like a Jihadist with their women in heaven for acts of martyrdom. You are no different than any other closed minded self absorbed human being. But your pedestal is so much bigger than theirs. Hallelujah and pass the ammunition!

Your beliefs in your facts are so ridged you miss all the other facts. Your focus is so narrow you can’t see all the things you don’t focus on. And the shame of it all is you’re so scared of a world outside your control you cling as if clinging for your very life, to the facts you believe in.. and discount, with distain, the rest.

Thankfully not all of your ilk are so narrow minded. I am sure you’d go stark raving mad if one were to say Avi Loeb is a far better astronomer than you could ever dream of being. I've seen others, Jack Lockwood and Carl Johnson, both deeply involved in branches of volcanology who are able to reach outside the ridged confines of their field’s accepted norms, and are shunned for doing so. I've known an anthropologist, Hank Wesselman who lived Kona side that was highly respected in his field and yet had visions that have taken him so far afield as you could never acknowledge, let alone open your mind to the possibility he was right.

I've cited Forbidden Archeology in an early phase of this discussion on the God thread, and you summarily clumped it together with all the other points I made and called it evil. Are you really going to say the fact, the * facts as documented by Michael A. Cremo and Richard L. Thompson in their thesis are wrong?

Unless you can stick to a discussion, and answer for your shortcomings, your ramblings about your facts and your discounting of all others, you are just another snake oil salesman. So stop with the obfuscation * already and start acting like a real human being that is sharing the exploration of the universe we find ourselves in with an open mind, and a firm knowledge that we, any of us, can not know the facts.. but appreciate that all of us are trying. And be supportive, be encouraging, of others that see the world differently than you, otherwise go crawl in a hole because you’re a bore. And that is a fact.

The latest hypothesis, for Punatics in a "God" thread, is that these disciples of Baphomet actually live together, in the same body perhaps, most likely on Kauai, tending their idols & doing very odd things with socks, while pretending to live in Puna, where we have a decent community chat that they can constantly troll in almost every single thread.  Oftentimes, (see most recent comments) they speak in unintelligible tongues, as you have noted, which reinforces the working hypothesis.

First, who devised this hypothesis?

And then are you saying TomK lives on Kauai and may be a sock puppet of some other poster(s)? Seems to be the only troll speaking in unintelligible tongues that I see here on a decent community chat.

To be clear, my comment of "whatever the hell it is you said" to what the poster had said prior to its deletion and my further comment of the post hitting the Puna requirement dead on was due primarily to it being stated with the absolute poorest imitation use of the Pidgin language, was filled with trope after trope of misinformation and social/racial stereotype after stereotype, coupled with curse word after curse word and more or less stated with the equivalency of an always drunk uncle who sometimes gets up and starts screaming at a dead Ohia tree.

@HJ - While the questions about the origins and details of the hypothesis are useful, I don't think you're giving Olohana 1790's post its due credit as sheer performance art - a "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television" style rant against ignorance, political dogma, racism, incest, addiction, and the worst of all, banjos, all existing in Puna or on Punaweb. Should it have been Moderated out of existence - under the current PW rules, for sure, but doesn't mean it wasn't insightful or entertaining as a sort of Punaweb Raw Diet (or maybe I just need to spend more time in the Acres watching all the unkos yell at the trees. Is there a map available at the entrance with the best viewing areas? ;)

Oh no, don't misunderstand me Yak. It was pure Punatic Comedy Gold. Hands down. ROFL hilarious. 5 crying smiling laughing emojis!!

I read it differently in that is was not a rant against those things, it was a "blaming us" rant for being those things.

However having said that, I also found part of it a bit offensive with the added use of the 1970's word for mentally handicapped people, of which has recently been picked up and used incessantly by a lot of "right" handed Punatics.

But, if I read the intent wrong, then my humblest apologies. Accept for the humiliation of mentally handicapped people.
