The Village Centers & Design District sub group was a part of the Puna Community Development Plan - Working Groups. VCDD finished it's work in January and turned it's report to the Steering Committee.

There may be a Steering Committee meeting on the VCDD subject in the future - date unknow at this time.

The VCDD report is part of the Land Use Working Group - LUWG. The whole report is available on the county web site:

There is a new, separate effort just beginning for Pahoa Village. This is not part of the County PCDP. It is being launched by Mainstreet Pahoa Assoc. The committees for this purpose are just now forming up. One is called the "Design Committee" and I chair that (965-1555). Another is called the Pahoa Comunity Development Committee and is chaired by Laurie Lloyd-Roberts (640-0989).

Good time to sign up....just getting started on this new phase.
