I'm curious to know more information on the author of this piece, Mr. Andrew Walden.

The only thing the paper says is that He is the Editor of the Hawaii Free Press.

When I google his name along with the words Hawaii, his writings and comments appear many places.

Does anyone know how long he has been a resident of the islands?

It looks like the paper is about to go online sometime soon. Looking at some of the ads in the paper... I saw a few that were ads that were obviously side businesses for the writers of the paper.

I know that this paper is An alternative newspaper founded by right-wing, political conservative Andrew Walden however, I'm trying to figure out who it's funded by?

Anyone have any answers?

There are a lot of "Anti-Puna" folks and it's been that way for a long time.

I know a few people are watching this forum as well as Hunters blog[]

The squeaky wheel gets the oil and it's only been recently that our squeaks are getting heard somewhat.[]

Then theirs the folks that think...hey the wheel is just squeaking a little bit... it doesn't need to be fixed just yet.

And then theirs the other folks that would just prefer to replace the squeaky wheel.[]

I remember when the Free Press meant radical left anti-establishment politics.
So I picked up a copy of this rag.
Ouch! I felt dirty from touching it.

I really miss the Hawai'i Island Journal for responsible investigative island reporting.
