Congratulations to Mr. Kenoi. We will look forward to working with him. I would have preferred Angel Pilago but we will
look to Billy to do as he has said.... bring the island together and run the county free of special interests.

Mayor Kenoi will get a chance to put deeds to promises.
It will be good to be able to say, in the coming years, that campaign contributions have no influence on policy.
For the sake of the community, we all have to hope positive things will come.
Good luck!

Now, lets get all the roadblocks to economic development removed and get the ball rolling to attract real viable industries that will bring jobs that pay real living wages.

The largest roadblock to economic development in Puna has been the lack of a development plan. Now that the Puna CDP has passed we quickly see an $11 million project for Pahoa. This is the value of a development plan. Investors have a basis on which to make decisions. Before the PCDP the general plan for Puna was "Drive to HIlo". That made it very, very difficult for business investors to chart a path of development for Puna... hence minimal to no development.

We expect that the Puna Community Development Plan will require support from the community this coming council.

...we have picked up Pilago signs in HPP this morning (along Kaloli, Paradise, Makuu).
If anyone wants 'em, come and get 'em; otherwise, they're OK here (15-1888 6th, HPP).
Or, if anyone needs signs retrieved in HPP, let us know by emailing me through PunaWeb and we'll do that tomorrow (going to Hawi today).
