Huli Huli chicken is back in town
Steve, ‘new owner’ of the Huli Huli chicken grill is kicking off with a grilling special.[Smile]

Friday November 21 from 12 noon to 5 pm at the Makuu farmers market.

Steve and friends will be doing an introductory special. He has gotten some Large [4 to 5 lb] whole chickens for the Huli Huli grill and plans to quarter them, add rice and turn them into a plate lunch. Steve wants people to try his Huli Huli chicken so he is going to only charge $5.00 a plate lunch. Steve owned a restaurant in New England and is also going to grill his famous grilled steak tip recipe.

Steve has permission to use the Huli Huli chicken name and will be using the original Huli Huli Sauce. Steve lives in HPP and will be setting up on a regular basic. So lets support one of our own and pick up a Huli Huli chicken plate lunch Friday, or try one of his grilled steak plates.

Please ask Steve for me if he will ship to S. FL. For that matter, any genuine plate lunch will do. The only place to get a kalbi special, mac salad, 2 scoops rice around here is our kitchen, but we have to resort to kimchee from a jar. Best of luck to Steve with the Hulu Hulu chicken grill.

Yes you can, but I'm not sure if he will be doing them on this Friday.
I had his steak tips, they are out of this world.

We are not going to be back on the island till January. Did I see him in Wiamea a few weeks ago in front of the hardware store? It smelled so great!

Huli Huli chicken postponed

Steve just called me and informed me that Fridays Huli Huli chicken will have to be postponed because of a big weather front that is coming our way Thursday and Friday.

It’s pretty hard to keep a hot fire going in a rain storm. It can be done but it takes all of the fun out of it. Next week is thanksgiving and most people will be eating leftovers on Friday so if everyone will stay tuned I’ll let you all know what his next move is.
