Best of 2008

Oh, there's been so much -- the expansion of my real estate company, the great people I've had the chance to work with (I'm looking at you, Carol) and so much more. 2008 has been good and I think that 2009 will be even better (and I am very hopeful with our new President).

I have to say the decision to move to Hawaii and buying our new house there. In just three days we will be permantent residents! Whoo Hoo! My back aches and my feet hurt (from packing/prepping), but I have never been happier. The movers arrive tomorrow morning! I am looking so forward to meeting many more of you in the new year. We got to meet some great people at Noel's International Cooking Dinner in November.

Aloha au i Hawai`i,

Nice positive, reflective thread!

We have much to be happy about in 2008 --
- starting open hours at the nursery to spend more time with our customers
- a wonderful Rhododendron convention that came to Hilo in September
- our son made captain at the airline he flies for (midwest)
- bumper crop of citrus for the first time
- wonderful friends and positive hopes for a new direction for the country

Most of all, for our health and happiness and a great ohana here of friends and neighbors. There are always challenges in life, especially in country living, but lots of great stuff to be appreciated.

Jane and Pete
