Ironic:
Person 1 "Some people have big egos"
Person 2 "I assume you're talking about me! You don't appreciate me!"
Persons 3, 4, 5, and 6 "Person 2, calm down. You're appreciated!"
Person 2 "Person 1's behavior is unacceptable!"
People reading: "Wow, some people have big egos."

OK you caught me I never thought you would see this blog! Look you can make whatever kind of misstatement you like about me, but you never answer my point. You, Damon support this kind of tactic of not posting replies!
Why is that?
I would prefer a discussion on the facts, as I have said. Why should we pay attention to you and Aaron then?
if you are truly interested in the Sovereignty movement ask real questions and post real information.
Auwe, what are you guys really doing? I would really like to know.

Attention Everybody!
This is at the point where I invite those who want to duke it out verbally to do so privately offline by email, telephone or in person.
Aaron please contact Bob directly if you want to continue.
Damon and Kai please do the same.

I would just like to point out that this is a WEB FORUM, not a BLOG. A blog is a personal take on things, it can be as intensely personal as a chronicle of the process of doing chemo, or purely informational like my favorite gardening blog, or a combination of the two. Damon's blog is an example of this, some of his posts are personal musings, some are informational, but it is all his, plus some allowed comments by readers. Most bloggers seem to edit the comments, and delete what they don't want on their blog. A very few blogs actually are jounalistic in their approach and specialize in investigative journalism that may well replace pen and ink journalism, but that is a very few blogs in a sea of vanity blogging.
Punaweb, on the other hand is a moderated forum. Forums are the collective commentary of the readers and posters, some forums are loosely moderated, some are tightly moderated, and there are those that a completely unmoderated. Unmoderated forums tend to be pretty rough and are not for the faint of heart.
I think bloggers as a whole (I have no one in particular in mind here) tend to develop an inflated sense of their own importance because they do what they do in an echo chamber. They only hear back the voices of those who choose to read their blog, not the voices of the other 6 billion people on this planet who don't even know they exist. I think Aaron S. took some general statements very personally and responded as if they were directed towards him. I have never read his blog, and wouldn't even know where to find it if I wanted to (although I would bet Damon's blog would be the place to start), so I took the whole discussion at face value; to me it was a starting point for discussion, not a personal attack on any individuals, until some individuals took it personally and responded in kind.
The very defensive response to this thread brings me to the conclusion that people who self publish their thoughts on the web should grow a thicker skin. Frankly, I don't care how much time someone devotes to their blog, it is their choice; no one is putting a gun to their head and making them do it, and choosing to blog doesn't make you magically safe from criticism. If you want to invest time in blogging, then do so. If it is too much of a sacrifice to do it on top of a job or family, then don't do it. But don't whine about what a sacrifice it is, or expect a free pass on criticism and questioning just because you blog on top of whatever other obligations you have.
A blog only has as much value and quality as a given reader finds in it, a blog that one person may find fascinating could put someone else to sleep. But blogging tends to be an inherently egocentric activity, it is just one person's self published perspective on the world where they can pick and choose what is and isn't said.
