Don't watch the show, but met a guy who said he'd met and hung out with Dog here in Hawaii. Said he was a great guy, so there's a good word for the Dog.

Depends on ones opinion of "great guy". Birds of the same feather, flock together.

Forgot to mention that he's also a former drug abuser and jailbird.

Dog and Beth are two of a kind...like peas and carrots! They make us laugh, but I don't really look for the show. If you take this show too seriously, you need to turn the channel quickly!
Anyway...it's their flaws that make them so funny.[

Did anyone ever catch the South Park when they did Dog? Very funny.

Kinda turned his life around, didn't he. I won't begrudge him for his past errors.

Yea, sure. Mayby the theme song for the show should be "Amazing Grace".

Yes, I've heard it so many times before, these clowns, well no they are usually convicted or exposed criminals and predators. Many are politians or religous leaders etc.,then when they get busted they find Jesus and are saved , oh and of course they are "forgiven". Then we gotta hear their bull... preaching over and over. Of course many of us do the what we have to , we don't watch the crap!

I like the "Judge Judy" comment, it's appropo, in this context only because she wrote a book Don't Pee on my Leg and Tell Me It's Raining.

I really don't get the animosity against Dog and crew. They can relate to the element they deal with because that's where they came from. Many of the criminals may connect with them much better than they could with a college educated counselor. Dog and crew are far from perfect but so what. Few people are as perfect as I am. If you don't like the show don't watch it.

I'm not sure just who you are labelling as clowns here. Is it those who have made mistakes? Those who have made mistakes and express remorse? Those who have made mistakes, express remorse and profess a religious awakening? Those who are public figures and fit one of the previous categories? I suppose Dog should have thrown himself into the volcano to atone for his sins.
So don't watch the "crap". Why the expressed animosity?
