Cyber Ransom latest Scam to make a living :0
#1
Cyber attackers have found a new way to make money, by taking control of your cyberware and not giving you access, until you pay them $3000. For each week you are late, it'll cost you an additional $1000, to get access to your files back. [V]

Find out what to look for by watching this short video by CNN Money News. Learn what you should do, if you are targeted by one of these criminals. http://money.cnn.com/2012/12/13/technolo...index.html

In most cases you don't get your files back.

This is primarily a "Windows problem", easiest fix is ... don't use Windows.

kalakoa - as usual with whalesong, what s/he wrote has nothing to do with the linked article.

Your screen name fits you well. Midnight Rambler. If you feel that way, why do you continue to read my post?
If you'd read or watched the video, you'd have learned, what I wrote, is exactly, what happens to the victim. But this person interviewed, did not play their game and never got his files back!

Nothing to see here..carry on...[Big Grin]

...and how does this specifically relate to Puna?

We can all go read CNN.com if we want to...but that's not why I come to Puna Web.

Okay, my mistake for thinking the video and article would be about the same thing; typical CNN. But TeddOnBass' point still stands.
