In most cases you don't get your files back.
This is primarily a "Windows problem", easiest fix is ... don't use Windows.

If you'd read or watched the video, you'd have learned, what I wrote, is exactly, what happens to the victim. But this person interviewed, did not play their game and never got his files back!
