I just found a weather bulletin on the noaa site that says: "Severe thunderstorm activity from Laupahoehoe to Pahoa, almost stationary, with frequent lightning strikes"- DUH?? I think we already know that! It was posted at 10 this morning! It would be nice if they could let us know BEFORE it happens instead of after!
