Anyone have info about attack in Wa'a Wa'a?
#1
Hi everyone,
I just heard that a woman was attacked at a tide pool off of Government Beach Road in Wa'a Wa'a. Anyone know anything about this terrible event?
Mahalo and stay safe.

I hate to hear that. But ladies around here need to realize this is not Paradise. Being female, attractive and alone in an isolated area is not a good idea anywhere on this planet. It is sad. I hate it. I wish it was some other way. But that is reality. Everywhere.

Too bad we don't allow CC here. Might have saved someone some trauma.

Haven't heard anything about it. Word gets around (down here) pretty quickly.
Eta... lavalava on cc - I fully agree.

If I understand correctly; The woman who wasn't attacked may have been saved from some trauma if she had a concealed pistol that she is not allowed to carry?

I could see how this might work if the person who didn't attack her thought she may be carrying.

Instead of judging women --attractive or otherwise-- who go to places alone, what we try to do as a society is apprehend those who assault women and then charge them with a crime and then present the case to a jury.

Skulking around the island with a gun hidden on your person does nothing to reduce crime, Mr. Deedy....and will make you look kind of funny when bathing in tidepools.

...and or brandished as a warning which is the typical occurrence that happens when preventing such crimes.

Jumping to the conclusion of judgement is beyond rational in light of the comment.
Back on topic - an occurrence such as an attack would have been all over the subdivision by now.

DeltaS - are you perhaps asking about a decades old incident involving Dana Ireland?
