The beautiful islands once again grace the top of the Gallup-Healthways 2016 State Well-Being Rankings, released on Wednesday. It's the sixth time in the nine-year existence of the report that the Aloha State has been at No. 1. Another separate recent study also awarded Hawaii the top spot.
We are all so blessed to have the chance to live on the islands. the movers are here today, taking my stuff onto the barge! I'm really excited, 4-6 more days and I'll finally be in Hawai'i!

We may be happy and healthy...but I'd like to feel alittle safer with regard to North Korea's missiles able to reach Hawaii. Especially when you have someone crazy enough like Kim Jong Un ready to push the button.

I think Alaska is closer to NK, not that that's much comfort.

Don't worry. Our military has that little ol' installation over on Kauai's north shore that has proved many times over that it can shoot down incoming missiles, before they get here.

Alaska is closer to NK
Alaska is not only closer, but bigger. Our islands are tiny specks in the ocean, and NK's missiles are notoriously inaccurate. Li'l Kim may not hit a specific target in Alaska, but he's more likely to hit American land. That would frighten the average US citizen more than a wayward missile which drops into the sea. NK is more advanced at provoking fear than they are at rocket science.

Given the history of Pearl Harbor, I don't think the U.S. will EVER let it be attacked again.

You must mean Maui or Oahu .
Hawaii the Island is 3rd world and not America.
50 years behind the curve in oh so many ways.
And you will be in D.H. far from health care and shopping.
And remember the bugs which you are allergic to.
Along with having to travel through the national park to get to Puna and Hilo.
You say you can not wait to come to the 3rd world of Hawaii the Island .Vog n bug central where you will be living with mom.
