They sometimes have incredible food sales that start Sunday morning. We have been going there every Sunday morning for years.

Some other sales prices today (best of my recollection), 89 cent spag sauces, ketchup, corn, and green beans. 79 cent tuna, 15# rice $7.49, half off vienna sausages (no thanks) and some corned beef products. $2.99 Downy fabric softener.

Gotta shop these sales to afford paradise...

ETA: Here's the ad. Warning, not all the sales are in the ad: http://longs.staradvertiser.com/hilo/0430/#

hmmm...

Gold Leaf boxed 5lb chicken parts eh? Dunno...Chicken from China? Probably OK...

Thanks for the deals, I normally get my instant coffee from Longs. Seems to have the best price. To go Mochua's just add a pack of swiss miss and tablespoon of instant... Beats a 5 dollar starbuck ...

Last time we scored on the 1.99 for 1lbs bacon. Smile

let's hope they improved their ratings.... Wink

I googled it, as I have not heard of this company. Supposedly, from what I read... It's a spin-off from Tyson Chicken corp.

If you're eating a lousey frozen 5lb. box of chicken, why would you care where that crap came from?

Good Point. Curiosity mostly. I've heard that they don't require to have origin on where the meat came from. Gold Leaf sounds more like an asian company to me. So..... Just wondering.

It's hard to trust any company these days to where the product came from... Let alone safe for consumption...Makes me want to go vegan.
