Thanks for posting. A live rosemary plant at home depot costs less than a "fresh" sprig at safeway. But we've killed 100% of the plants we bought, even trying to grow it indoors where its drier. I'm wondering if its the cultivar HD sells?

I have a rosemary plant I have been growing for a couple of years on my back lanai, Hawaiian Shores about 250 feet. It's in a 5 gallon bucket with about 3 gallons of poor soil. Doing great, afternoon sun, it's under the eve so no rain on it, I only water it when I think about it. Treat it like a desert weed, when we lived in Ca. I had one that was about 25 years old, looked like a gnarly bonsai tree with a trunk about 3 inches in diameter.
