Council members get to appoint (and 'dis-appoint') their two staff members -- Council Aide and Legislative Assistant -- on an "at will" basis.
Like all decisions by Council members, voting constituents get to be the final arbiter of whether the decisions are good.
RJ was appointed by a duly elected official, so, it is only fair to wish her good luck -- credit and criticism where due is also only fair.
Time will tell.
