What a good idea Pam to post that here. I need one oak dressor to come from So Cal in a container if anyone is shipping this way.
That said my SO said to leave it where it is because the oak has been in a nice dry California house for 20 years and will climate shock here. But this was one of my first pieces of furniture I ever bought as an adult!

I am looking up container shipping right now for later Jan 07 shipping. I am bringing some furniture & my tools to a house we are closing escrow on 12-30-06. I need your services any way, I need a garage & ohana built so I was getting ready to look you up! We are in So. Cal. in Ojai Ca. (Ventura Co.) Any tips for who to use for the container would be great! I should have room for your piece. p.s. Pam, it might be to far to so.cal. to bring something, but let me know if I can help. Rick J.

Matilija hot springs was closed down 6 or 7 years ago, no one has had the funds to open it back up. Our house is in Oak View but most people that have never been here don't know where that is, but more know about Ojai. We have lived here a long time and find ourselves going to the BI as much as possible, I have friends & family there and we like the "local" feel of the area. Ojai & Oak View have grown way past their capacity loosing that home town feeling. I personely hate cold weather (below 60) and we are in the position to purchase this 3 acre property with a finished home. So we did it!! We have horses and dogs so renting was not a option, we found this house in a area that we love and every thing just fit together! Now its time to start moving, I will move first, I need to build some pasture fencing & start a garage with Ohana on the property. Our daughter graduates high school then we will ship horses & dogs, rent out the house in Oak View and ship our final things from Ca. My wife is a Surgical Tech. and I will be looking for work as a automotive collision estimator or a service writer at a dealership. This forum has helped alot and A big MAHALO! to all of you for the great information, I have been lurking for sometime because of my lack of knowledge to move to the BI but I am getting to know the ropes & hope I can contribute more. Hi Rick, I run punaweb and moved here from Pierpont Beach in '94. Welcome to Puna. Wish I could say I missed Ventura. It was a nice place to grow up though.
