If you haven't been to the Pahoa Transfer Station in the past week, you need to go now! Local artist (Ainaloa resident) Charlene Lofgreen has painted a beautiful Puna-style mural on the catchment tank. It's got Honu, dolphins, lava, and much more. Charlene does murals, mosaics, portraits and much more. Her efforts here were a donation to benefit the community, and was assisted with donors who purchased the paint.
She also just added a huge amount of class to our boring nursery sign (think stencil lettering) by painting two beautiful Vireyas on it. She's a talented artist, and extremely creative!
You can see her work on her web page: www.ArtWanted.com/clofgreen
or on her Facebook Page under Charlene Lofgreen. Check it out, and go see! It's worth a trip, and of course you can recycle at the same time!
