Hawaii County does have the strictest regulations.
Also, Omicron has made it to California, so it should be here within a few more days. I suspect part of the adaptation is longer incubation with less severe symptoms, because these would be the ideal mutations to enhance spread.

The other counties relaxed restrictions more? I'm about ready to complain.

And? What are we going to do about it? We can't do anything. They are literally throwing away doses of vaccines because no one there will take it! What's the point of the mandates here again?
Either way, there's no good evidence omicron came from someone unvaccinated.

There's also the fact that it sounds like it is probably vaccine resistant.
