Sorry to say this, but sticks and stones are not a valid reason to vacate such a position.  It is a lay blame distraction from a greater truth.

I agree partially that she should not have let a drunken thug try to bully her around and should not have resigned because of his threats.

But, as for the greater truth, I don't think it was Penn she feared the most, but the supporters Penn drags along with him that may have given her the real scare.

All it takes is one crack pot. And if Penn has proven one thing, in addition to him being a crack pot, he's surrounded by a lot more really cracked pot crack pots!

B.J's attacks was just part of the overall noise that has erupted over this issue. In other words, It was a combination of the public's dislike of Governor Green's attempt to make housing affordable and nut cases like B.J Penn and Gary Cordery that caused her to resign. The latter accused her of trying to steal land in Lahaina to construct a "smart city."

There is no need to steal land from homeowners, just take over all those empty fire-hazard fields the oligarchs own and build affordable housing there.

I would also add that while having a legal background, albeit in the copyright/patent areas of law, what I've seen and read could possibly be considered criminal.

Then I would hope you understand that allegations alone mean nothing without facts and evidence. This just comes across as a classic example of an appeal to authority.

I did not share the links to the various postings I've seen from Penn on X and Instagram as I don't think Rob would have allowed it. 

I also don't think Green would have made the statement he made without evidence as well. Nor do I think Medeiros would have resigned without a real bonafide feel of fear.

I noticed several of the Honolulu News Media channels that publish various news clips on YouTube have recently taken down several videos of Penn verbally bashing the housing director at a meetings a few weeks ago, inclusive of the "I'm your boss" one. I can't fathom why they would have taken down those videos.

I find it ironic that whatever one's stance is on Green's affordable housing initiative, Penn's reaction to it - and that of his supporters as well, is quite telling. Bashing the director and making lies of family members being awarded State contracts - benefits who? Surely not the poor guy who can't afford a home, that's for sure! 

And then Penn comes out and claims the plan was to take all the now displaced Maui residents and bring them to Puna! And if you want a real tin foil hat roller coaster ride, look into his supporter who claimed the fires were all intentional, set off by DEW's and inclusive of a designed human genocide with only blue things left untouched - so "the man" can build a "smart city!"

Penn does not need any more political oxygen. Let him run his boxing school in his converted bowling alley and let the adults in the room run the political machine!

And I don't think this issue is going to go away. Or in Penn's favor.
