Ever met a punawebber?

We have also met Rob several times.

Kane did a small welding job for him at our place years ago. We also sold Rob some honey and got to visit with him at his place a few years back.

I know the identities of some of the bigger "personalities", including a couple that have gone on to the spirit in the sky. One of them even denied it when I asked, but he was in witness protection and keeping a low profile.

Even though I have never met Rob, I am quite sure he is a decent and honorable man, whom I’d be shocked to hear him being thankful for the death of one or more of the posters here on PunaWeb and I have met a few people who have been on PunaWeb in the past and some currently, but having said all that and reading the last few posts, it came to me as to what we could do with the upcoming closure of the Coco Cantina:

Let’s get a franchise agreement from this restaurant in Houston and open up a Pahoa location:

HAWAIIFEL asked:

"Punika… how do I say your name without being awkward? Hahaha"

Not quite sure what you mean...suppose I should have added uppercase letters or what-not to divide the words when I chose my user name, eh? ;-)

I'm just a simple ferret who is around the shoreline, hence:

...puni kahakai ferret...

Love hearing the PW history!

Carry on, all :-)

i dont want to be labelled "chismosa" here but out of curiosity,  how is that meeting a certain person became unfortunate? I mean, just for the people who were "absent" during those times. lol

if it's too bad, you may opt not to answer.  Big Grin Sometimes recalling the past may bring back bad mems...so..

Okay! got it! haha! Sorry. I still have hard time syllabicating words especially if it's portmanteau.  Smile

“Love hearing the PW history!

Me too!

Preferably without the celebration of those who have unfortunately passed, as well as without the need of sesquipedalian or grandiloquent verbiage.

I have a lot of patience in looking up unfamiliar words to me. Google is a friend.  Smile

As long as there is no cussing, swearing, ad hominem etc. Please refrain that in this thread or in any other threads possible.

Does this include suggesting someone needs "some serious lobotomy"? Given that this forum isn't yours, I wonder what your other irrelevant rules are.

No, Ken was not Tom (nor TomK or The Lack). Somewhere I have his real name and a pic of him and his Lexus SUV, double-parked in front of the old Pahoa Video store. He was confronted by someone over the parking and he replied with a number of standard "ken" expletives and phrases. I recognized the wording and said, "Hey KEN" - he turned and he got even madder and I snapped a pic, which drove him on to yet another level. LOL He was a very short, thin guy, white hair. Never saw him inside the old Luquins, Black Rock, etc.
