I'd also like to highlight an observation I have made with respect to user security that, albeit a very minor one, is that some PunaWeb users do not "Log Out" when done using PunaWeb and are just closing the browser.
When you do this, you become "ghosted" on the PunaWeb site - as in your log in remains active - when you're not really on line and while PunaWeb will automatically boot you out after 15 minutes of your log in being idle and again, albeit a very rare possibility, but could allow some creative Russian bot operator who maybe passed on his daily 2 liter allotment of vodka, to possibly worm his way into your account through PunaWeb, and/or, if your using a public computer - or a computer where others except yourself can use it - well they could open a browser and automatically become you inside PunaWeb.
At any event, stay safe. And ALWAYS log out! (of every website you log in to!)

I thought PW would be a good place to discuss. Some of you seem so clever- and boy, don't you know it. But think I will just skim, like the majority, and watch the vocal minority sarcastically compete, wit for wit, with one another- or tear each other apart.

These mostly aren't Punaweb users, they're "guests". Some of them might be Punaweb users who aren't logged in, or someone who stumbled across the site, but 99% of them are bots. Some of them are legitimate, like search engine crawlers, but mostly they are security bots, malware scanners, spam bots, etc. They scan forums like this one all over the internet 24/7 looking for something they can exploit. The bots are constantly being updated with new things to look for, so the scanning never stops. Some of them are operated by various alphabet agencies of governments throughout the world, but most of them are operated by the criminals who aren't above the law. Because of AI, expect these to continuously increase.
@ Terracore - CORRECT all the way down to the "alphabet agencies".... Don't ask how I might know because I can't tell you...

Hope everyone is having a great holiday couple of weeks.
I have scanned PW here and there, since this post. But again, even taking bots into account, there are always the same handful of persons who interact on this forum- the same users who appear to also be long-time PW residents, who share histories and "understand" one another. Because of this, you all (whether you can see it or not) have created a forum heirarchy (even pecking on one another). This limits conversation. Especially any from those who are not a part of "the group."
As I said, I joined PW with the intention of engaging in intelligent, informative, discussion. I did not expect all people to agree with me. I did not expect others to accept any facts that I shared without doing their own research (which I repeatedly encouraged). I did expect fairness.
HPP "drama" may not be everything Puna- a given. But what happens in HPP impacts a lot of Puna residents, and not just those in HPP. Enormous "ADUs" that are now being thrown up (some 2 to a lot). Lawsuits, depending on how they are decided, that can set precedent for any other Puna subdivision and how they wish to govern themselves. How a corporation's desire for development, vs how much preservation of Hawaiian cultural sites is "necessary," could pave the way for other "substandard" subdivision "master plans." And more.
Living in Puna, the above topics are of concern to me and others.
If I was planning on moving to Puna, the above would probably be history and current info that would be good to know BEFOREHAND (a lot of people don't research).
I do not know how many of the PW guests are bots. But how many "new" members are interacting? Asking questions about Puna? Posting info about Puna? And how many members are allowed to respond before the hierarchy kicks in, gangs-up, and decides that's enough?
So bots or no bots, my observation is that some of you are limiting PW's potential.
