IF theyʻre correct. Home Depot has that feature. It will say thereʻs 47 left in stock and a half hour later thereʻs none.
Emplyeeʻs explanation: those things are never correct. Driving to HD is one thing, driving to Costco is another. You might want to call and verify. But thatʻs assuming you can actually reach a human.
Certainty will be the death of us.

100% call first!
Yea, I should have been more Pacific. Terracore was hearing rumors of a certain type of item at our Costco. You can use the app to drill down on what items SHOULD be at the Costco - facilitating further research. Definitely call first. Good call Kaliannna.

It seems like DJI is the only company willing to ship to Hawaii with that type of product. Is $549 a fair price delivered?
More than fair. I have the 1000 and the 500. The best thing is the less than 30 units transfer for computer stuff. I, like TC, use it for Starlink backup, and other things. I’ll spare you the details, but two thumbs up…

Nice, thank you. I may have to jump on it. The one at Costco is more than I want to spend but it has 4x the capacity for 3x the price - and wheels! =)

The optional cable accessories for the DJI products are very high quality and with a price point to match. I have the one to charge it from a car's 12v DC socket, and also the one that provides a 12v DC socket. (Hacker tip: the 12v DC charging cable can also charge the unit from solar equipment if one knows what they are doing, however the charging would be limited to 100 watts). If you think you might want some of their cables, it might be cheaper to buy them bundled with the unit, they seem to offer such bundles periodically.
The first time I needed the DJI was soon after I got it- to inflate a friend's pressure tank. I have one of those air compressors that plug into the car's 12v socket but the tank was too far away from where we could get a vehicle so the DJI unit with the optional 12v socket to the rescue.
Since I bought it, I've noticed that DJI has released a bunch of different products for it including power packs for longer run times, wifi connectivity, fast charging from a car's alternator, etc. They seem to have problems keeping them in stock, hopefully that's a good thing.
(Five Flexible Expansion Options
The expansion battery can be connected to a Power 1000 unit [1] and up to five expansion batteries, offering five flexible expansion options: 3072 Wh, 5120 Wh, 7168 Wh, 9216 Wh, and 11264 Wh.)

Starlink has a new $10/month service option for those who want backup internet or internet on the go. It's similar to the "Roam 50" but instead of coming with 50 gigs of data, it comes with 10. And instead of overage being $1/gig, it's $2/gig. Like the "Roam 50" plan, it can be paused to stop billing, or one can switch to a different plan.
They also have a new residential plan with unlimited data for $80/month. It gives them the option to limit speeds during peak times so those on the higher priced plan don't get inconvenienced by slower speeds caused by those sitting in the cheap seats.

Starlink sells a DC-DC (12-48v to 56v) power supply for the Gen 3 system, so no inverter is necessary to use the system if off grid or mobile. Right now our use is primarily mobile and I wanted a less "clunky" solution that didn't require an inverter or a portable power supply so I bit the bullet and paid $110 for their official product rather than making my own for less than half that. It has an XT60 adapter (both ends of the cord) so I had to buy a separate $10 cord that has XT60 on one side and a 12v automotive (cigarette socket) plug on the other. I also bought a cheap 6' Starlink cable (knockoff) so I didn't have that long ass 50 foot cable making a Griswold knot in the car. I found out that the internet speeds are almost as fast when the dish is sitting in the car under the back window of the sedan as it is properly mounted outside. (sitting behind the back seat / on top of the speakers).

I'm wondering if the DJI 1000 would last longer if I used the DC out cable with the Starlink DC power supply instead of using AC. In theory it would, but I don't know enough about how the guts of the DJI unit work. That's an experiment for another day. But if somebody has to use a portable power station it's something to consider. And in case anybody is wondering if the DJI 1000 DC power charging cable works with the Starlink DC-DC power supply, it does not, even though it has the same XT60 connector on it. There is something proprietary about the DJI cord (maybe the polarity is reversed?) that makes it incompatible with something that looks like it should work.

Current StarLink promotion. Free hardware, so no upfront cost. Though I am not sure if a year prepayment is required...

It doesn't look like any pre-payment is required:
"You must subscribe to either the Standard Residential plan ($120/month, up to 250 Mbps) or the Residential Lite plan ($80/month, 50-100 Mbps). A 30-day trial period is included, with a full refund if you return the kit. Change Fee: If you cancel, change your address, miss payments, transfer service, or keep the kit after canceling during the trial, you’ll be charged a pro-rated fee up to $349. The fee decreases monthly over the 12-month period."
In other words, you may not want the free kit if you plan on using a cheaper Roaming plan, look for a $200 off deal instead.
In other news, Starlink has added a $40 "Mini Router", which can be used as a standalone router or as mesh nodes to expand a Starlink wifi network. It can be configured as either wired or wireless. Multiple mini routers can be added to continue expanding the wifi range but details are scarce on how far it will go. Supposedly one mini covers 1,200 square feet and will connect up to 128 devices.
It's $40 but ships free via FedEx. https://www.starlink.com/shop/products/u...ini-router
Despite the name, it's not specific to their mini dish. It's backwards-compatible to all of their systems except Gen1. It's designed for simplicity and to be used with their app, so if one is looking for high-end mesh performance or features like separate guest passwords etc, one will be happier with a "real" (more expensive) mesh solution. But for plug-and-play, $40 sounds good especially with free 2-day FedEx to Hawaii.
