We just flew 7 parrots from Juneau to Honolulu on Alaska Airlines and during the layover in Anchorage I was able to watch the parrots being unloaded from the plane. They had *8* people assigned to the task. Actually 9 counting the guy in the plane handing them down. The import requirements require the parrot kennels to be covered in mosquito netting and they handled the kennels with the same care as if there were human infants inside them. It was amazing to watch.

Although I have no experience with them, Pacific Air Cargo flies from LAX to HNL and takes pets. It's basically a red eye flight and with the timing the pets get into HNL just before the AG inspection office opens so it's convenient to get them released.

We will be using Pacific Air Cargo this coming Wednesday. My understanding is that small animals fly in the upper level behind the cockpit. We are also using Island Pet Movers to help with paperwork, etc.

Depends on what size of dog and what airport. I fly my dog into Kona, so I ask the Kona vet.
