blessing of the land...

Hi Everyone,
This is my first time here. Although I have many questions, my first is about getting the land blessed. Do we need to be there? Is it done before anything is done to the land? What is the process? We really would like to get this done properly. We are going to be there (Sea View) in November for about a week to get things started on the lot and house. Any help about the blessing would be greatly appreciated.

Ideally you should be present and the land should be blessed before anything is done to it.

Traditional Hawaiian land blessings are done by kahunas, cultural practitioners and kumu hula.

Thanks for the info. We wanted to be there for the blessing. Does anyone have the name or number for us to contact someone to do the blessing? We will be there the middle of November. I don't want to do anything until this is done. Can't wait to be there. This has been a dream for us for a long time.
