Tilapia and other questions

That's probably why they show it usually filleted. My only interest in tilapia was why it was the main aquaponic fish. It is mainly for those that are trying to get the maximum closed cycle benefit by also being able to eat the fish that create the nutrients that feed the plants. Tilapia are really hardy and don't take much care, just good circulating water and some feed. For strictly aquaponics use, any other hardy fresh water fish should do.
