The old Government Rd. from Hawaiian Shores to Papaya Farms Rd and a caowboy cabin in Waimea have been proposed for the national register of historic places and the Hawaii version of the same.

Aloha back at ya, Carrie. We're FINALLY coming back on the 16th. I'll only be there a week but Carol will be there for 2 1/2 weeks. I'll email you...
Funny that this article would come up, we're renting an SUV for the first few days specifically to make this drive from HSRE to Kapoho.
CAN'T WAIT!!!

Uncommonly pretty area down there. It'll be good to see you. Nice fence you have up. Is that due to the pig activity? LOL

Yep. The pigs and the neighbor's dogs. Mainly the pigs. We only have the posts up on the one side so that's my job when we're there.
We've driven parts of the Government Road fromeither side and from Papaya Farms Rd. but never the whole of it. We figure we'll just keep driving down the red road to Ahalanui...
Did I say I CAN'T WAIT?!?!

JonP: I need to request that copyrighted material such as the HTH quote not be copied onto the forum. Legal stuff.
It is preferred to provide a link or to paraphrase in your own words. If you could make that edit I would appreciate it.

Thanks
