That was the results of an autopsy performed Tuesday, police said today.

Police have identified a 37-year-old man who drowned March 23 while swimming off the lower Puna coast as Jay Patrick Corbett of Gunnison, Colo.

Police said Corbett apparently became trapped underwater by currents while jumping off cliffs with friends at Orr’s Beach off the Waawaa subdivision.
