My experience with Hawaii Island Family Health Center is that they take only one type of insurance...HMSA. That's probably why they are accepting new patients.

My wife and I are retired mainland government employees with 100% insurance coverage. Not accepted there. But we have had Dr. Brian Williams as our doctor for many years when he was working at the Hamakua Health center in Honokaa. Our insurance was more than welcome there.

Call the Hawaii Family Health Center and find out if they take your insurance.
When I called and asked which insurance plans they take, they said every insurance, EXCEPT HMSA and HAWAII PACIFIC HEALTH

I believe so. Sure looks like him. He left Hamakau 3 years ago for a family emergency. I will call tomorrow and check. Last time we checked with Hawaii Island was 4 years ago. So maybe things are different!
