Big Island Now 1960 Tsunami
#1
Dave Smith's article on the devastating 1960 Tsunami, is a reminder of what can happen, after the last 3 evacuations one tends to get complacent!

Your post reminded me that it was time to go through my "3-day" bag and update it! One of these days it is going to be a real event and not just a warning.

Thank you!

I make it a point to open our home and land in a threat.... we are high ground... 2800 feet and have: room for you with your futons and sleeping bags, large pantry and freezers of food and a 10,000 gallon water tank plus fenced space for large livestock /there is always a safe haven here without any warning and if you have to just run.... find North glenwood Rd! off highway 11 @ mm20. Punawebbers take care of one another!

I want to be the kind of woman that, when my feet
hit the floor each morning, the devil says

"Oh Crap, She's up!"
