End HELCO Monopoly

Cat,

HE has paid a quarterly dividend of 31 cents per share for the past 5 years plus. Same every quarter. A fair return, but not excessive. At $26/share, it is affordable if one has a portfolio to build.

Not just electric utilities, and not just in Hawaii.

The entire system is stagnant because the "people in charge" are making plenty money the way things are, and they can just buy more rules/regulations instead of adapting to the new, who cares if "most people" are stuck with obsolete technology and business models?

Dan , you are very right - it was a quarterly profit per share which isnt the same as a dividend... my mistake....
