There will be a benefit for Randy Parker and his family at Sangha Hall in Hilo Saturday , August 24th. Many of his friends have come together to make this day SPECIAL and fun for us all!
We discovered Randy's incredible Hawaiian guitar and his lovely voice way back in the late 80's when he played at the Broiler up in Kamuela. Randy was loved by all who frequented the Broiler..... from the paniolas in their working jeans to the business men in their Reyn Spooners.
He has performed at Volcano House, Cafe Pesto, Kaleo's just to name a few other places. Randy was also the weekly host of the KHBC Hawaiian Music Program.
He"s a long time resident of HPP, and our cherished neighbor.
Randy is battling stage 4 cancer. He is currently receiving chemotherapy and radiation on Oahu . He of course is unable to work right now and his family could use our help.
The event will be from 10am to 7 pm. There will be silent auctions and food booths. Tickets are just $10.00 in advance.
Some of his friends that will be performing for us are John Keawe, The Tripp family, Mark Yamanaka, Ben Kaili, Bruddah Waltah Aipolana, Lito Arkangel, Randy Lorenzo, Jeri Gertz Ira and Dru Kekaualua.
