It won't go back to HD. You will have to ship it on your dime to the factory and back which will make it make less sense than buying a new one.

Most of the time its just the ceramic fuse in the microwave, or another short somewhere. easy fix.

Indeed: my comment was originally in jest.
That said ... I'm wondering whether "factory-farmed" food (which is then probably GMO, but not necessarily) has a higher mineral and/or metals content from the artificial fertilizer, pesticides, and/or processing. Of course, any "trace" amounts would be lower than the legally-defined "safe" levels, because that legislation was bought and paid for by the very factory farms that produce the "food". The actual explanation is probably "planned obsolescence", as implemented by "cheap factories in China Inc."
