wai-wi (strawberry guava) removal?
#11
I use the cut and spray / paint process with 2,4d. Sometimes 100% kill, others mostly hurt and round up / 2,4d dilute kills it off. It has been raining lots so it makes it tougher.

round up will simply wash away and add poison to the ground. the idea of drilling a slanting hole in the side so that the poison stays inside the tree makes sense. consistently chopping and stripping new growth will take about two years to kill a stump and rot its roots enough to simply pull out. the root system slowly shrinks as the plant struggles to survive. poison might kill the tree much quicker, but it is still stuck in the ground by the roots, so you will still either have to wait for the stump to rot or dig it out.
