Cooking Chicken
#1
To bring this to a Puna related topic, this man, Rap Replinger, had ohana in Kapoho. His mother, who was a Kumu hula decades ago, had roots in our Puna, and was the epitome of a Hawaiian woman. He was one of the original members of "Booga Booga" back in the old days of local comedy. Rap Replinger must have given his mother a few gray hairs, however, he was a brilliant entertainer, and made his own mark here in Hawai'i.

Purely for entertainment, as some of our discussions have become quite tenuous, let's all "cook chicken" with "Aunty Marialani". [Big Grin]

Omgeeee, loves my some "Aunty". Thanks for bringing back to mind. Have a friend from upcountry Maui who does a perfect imitation. Not too sweet, not too rancid [:o)]

"Home from the fields
Someone has a-painted my door.
A stranger sings in my bathroom.
Whoop, wrong house."
