Helicopter rescue in Hilo right now

Does anyone know what's going on? There are firetrucks and ambulances, and a helicopter with a rope dangling up above the river in Piihonua.

I never did find out what happened. I guess we'll read about it in the paper tomorrow!

Sadly, it's not uncommon for people to come to grief at Boiling Pots and other spots on the Wailuku, pulled under, swept downstream, etc..

It could be something else of course, but that would be my first thought. []
