Ch.9 might share a wireless link from Maui with Ch. 10, according to the Channel 45 digital application. If they're both off, maybe something is getting tweaked somewhere. Just a guess!
Otherwise, 9 and 10 have different transmitter locations. Dunno about the effects of the solar flare-- although I fear what a future one may do to transmission equipment… I've spent all my savings on transmitters, antennas, etc!

Back home this evening after a few days away and can confirm terracore's report, at least at my location (lower HPP). Macuu22 - good spot! However, really doubt the geomagnetic storm was the culprit. It was the strongest this year, but for something strong enough to affect OTA stuff at this latitude I would have expected much worse effects at more northern latitudes such as in northern US states or Canada and haven't heard of any.
Strangely enough, our automatic fire alarm went off this morning at work, and after a thorough check and as we were heading back inside the building it went off again! From the NOAA/Space Weather Prediction Center, a G3 geomagnetic storm (considered "strong" on a scale of minor to extreme), which was the strength of the storm today, might do this: "Power systems: voltage corrections may be required, false alarms triggered on some protection devices." (http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/NOAAscales/) But in the end it was dust on one of our sensors which didn't get cleaned off completely after the first alarm...

Thanks for the feedback. If it comes back, can you post it here? I never know whether I should be fiddling with the antenna or wait it out.
