Big Helicopter circling Keaau Town this afternoon

OK, I get the huge increase in copter traffic these last few weeks, but there has been a really big triple tail bird circling low over the residential & town areas of Keaau town with side door open (that close!)

Have no idea WHY, as this is over the schools & roads of town, not over the vacant lands or potential new roads... but did snap off a few minutes of film (they did turn directly towards the ocean right after bird with guy in door were overhead & my camera was on them... not to imply any connection...)

Could be Green Harvest - Maybe there is a big Grow in your area.It has been known to happen.
That same helicopter flies all over Puna doing the same exact pattern.Low n slow in circles over peoples homes and farms.
No common sense in Govt .

They have been going up and down beach road for a few days. Flying low. Civil defense, etc..

It could also be a mere recalculation of population density i'd pull mirrors out so it looks like there is more of you and therefore you are worth saving lol

Or, maybe they are just trying to find new evacuation routes in case of emergency <--I'm leaning more towards this idea

We saw it here in Fern Acres, too. And we are above the lava flow. It was way too low.
