Is there any public range, or private shooting facilities on east side of Island.

YES, but please use the Search tab above, this is covered almost every year...and there is great info, but best if you do the search... so you get exactly the info you would like...

Glenwood Range Association - I practice there but it's a private membership range. Becoming a member isn't easy. They require a substantial amount of marksmanship experience and the proofs thereof to keep out the irresponsible types.

There is an indoor range in Hilo. I don't know much about it. Normally, an indoor range is for handguns only. Many have rules on what kind of ammo you can shoot (usually no lead swagged or cast bullets, sometimes no super high velocity etc). Some indoor ranges might allow .22LR rifles.

I think it's pretty new, and should be mentioned in the search you do.
