Just a side note: Kenney change your traps. The rat pees on it to warn other rats to stay clear of it. They also will take a small bite of "new" food, and if it gets sick, will pee on the food to warn other rats its poisonous. Smart fellers they are.

My point about the smell, was that it was overpowering,pervasive,and a had foul smelling chemical deodorizing like fragrance that accompanied the rain.
I have not smelt a sweet rain smell here in many years.
Too me they almost always smell bad - perhaps because I have been living with air purifiers for many years, my nose still works well- unlike others who haven't lived with air purifiers.
