Satellite Service Feedback

I'm looking for some feedback on the satellite offerings by Dish Network and DirecTV. My brother is in the process of buying a home in Hawaiian Ocean View
Estates. It is very likely Oceanic Cable does not service that part of HOVE.
So I'm helping him looking at other options.

As I understand it, the DirecTV satellites are lower in the sky so sometimes they are harder to hit.

I have DISH and have no problems with it. I also believe that most Satellite TV installation companies here actually offer both and can make that recommendation.

Aaron,

We have been extremely satisfied with DirecTV. Their on screen menu and features are great.

The only negative ( which is aesthetic), is the large dish DirecTV seems to need in Hawaii - as opposed to the "standard" dish size. Dish Network does use the smaller size dish though.

Our DirecTV signal rarely goes out.

Mahalo for the feedback, it is much appreciated.As it turns out it looks like my brother will have to be getting Satellite.
Oceanic's service cuts off a mile from the house he is looking at purchasing.
