PGV Secrecy
#1
I can think of no valid reason why PGV- comprised of Ormat & Halliburton, should not be forth-rite about their proposed new drilling location. Secrecy is anathema,(someone or something that is very strongly disliked)to our Republic in all it's forms.
IMHO , the only reason would be that they know that more people would be unhappy, in advance, of their proposed (secret) location, and this could result in strong protests against PGV.
As well , any new well away from the existing site would need not just the well hole, but all the rest of the plumbing & and generators, etc, essentially a whole new plant. Would that not be the result?
In IMO, PGV has failed miserably in any context you might choose to examine, ie actual production(safely) , community safety and concerns, past history of carelessness, which resulted in uncontrolled blowouts, one occurring after a well advertised warning of an imminent destructive event, (understaffed for TS/Hurricane Iselle , as well as unreachable for the general public as to what steps they were talking to safely deal with Iselle 3 days prior to the actual event), not to mention lying about the hour and a half uncontrolled blowout ( for more than a month) during that event, that was testified to buy Sen Rudimen.
Citizens of Puna need to made aware in advance of the new location for drilling, not after the fact.

You know Bob - you're right. Ormat does not deserve to have you as a customer. I support your notion to sever any and all ties with them. Please call Helco and cancel your account. BTW, what actual good would it do if you knew the new plants location? What would you do about it? Chain yourself to the fence? Burn yourself in protest like the buddhist monks? C'mon man, this is big business in action, get out of the way or get run over!
