Good Morning All,
I am considering renting a home in Leilani Estates on Kahukai Street and the owner has no idea about internet options. Is there cable or DSL there? I would also appreciate any other comments about renting or buying a home there.

Call the various companies, give them the physical address and ask them what they have available. Just because a service passes by your door does not mean that there is room for you...

We use Verizon's high speed and it's great, never any problems and super fast. With a Verizon tower right here in Leilani, we even had service on our phones during Iselle last year.
Love living here in Leilani as a home owner.

Since that street is over 3 miles long, your internet options will vary considerably dependent upon where you really are. The issue that with DSL, even tho it may be listed as available, all of the ports are probably spoken for. With cable, I do not believe they have completed running it down the entire street. Either way, like mentioned by others, you will have to call in to place an order before getting a definite yes or no. If those options do not work, there is always 4G from Verizon (tower is in the park in Leilani) or possibly 4G from T-Mobile as their tower is close by in Nanawale. T-Mobile would not be a good option if you are on the other side of the subdivision though.
Last choice, in my opinion, would be satellite which then depends upon your tree cover.

We have a cable modem that works quite well, most of the time. We have a Verizon Mi-Fi for work, which we use only when the power or cable are out. That works very well also, and frankly I cannot tell much of a difference in speed. So if you already have Verizon for your phone, and you don't use a ton of internet (no streaming Netflix or whatever), I might suggest getting a Mi-Fi. The added benefit of that is that you can take it with you anywhere you go in the US, and you'll never have to purchase internet at a hotel. If you use a ton of internet, though, I think it will probably be cheaper to use Oceanic (assuming they are wired to your proposed location).
