Does anyone know where I could rent someone with a bucket truck for about an hour in HPP? I broke something (antenna part) 15 feet above my carport roof, about 30 feet above the ground, and although it will take 5 or 10 minutes to fix, I have no way to get to it. Any suggestions welcome ( or if you have a jet pack).

I've seen bucket rentals on various job sites so I know they exist, unfortunately I cannot remember the rental company. That is not why I'm typing this useless to you post. I'm wondering what kind of cool antenna you have and what its used for? (if you don't mind)

Looks like Puna rentals has 'em (based on the header photo...)

ADD: it may be less $$ to rent a scaffold...if it is a straight up, & you don;'t need the reach arm... heck, you might even be able to borrow those!

It is a ham radio antenna that looks like an upside down open umbrella that has lost its fabric. The ribs (I Googled umbrella parts) are fiberglass poles about 15 feet in length, 3 five foot sections attached to each other with hose clamps. Unfortunately, while raising it, one of the ribs got caught on the edge of the roof, and the last 5 foot session came off without anyone noticing until it was up and we looked up to admire our fine work. . It simply needs to be stuck back in and the hose clamp tightened. That's probably way more than you wanted to know.To me it's a thing of beauty. To others, not so much (not recommended for condos!).
Hu Gus,
No help on the lift but sounds like these sections are sort of slid together and hose clamp snugs down a small split section on the OD .. Would be a royal pain to break them all down if you bonded them all together with epoxy but maybe they would hold good with a shot of hot glue before assembly .. This is EZ to reheat and pull apart when ness but would keep things more locked in position as well over time and micro movements from the weather.
aloha,
