Hi everyone,
The Nanawale water spigots have been off since at least early Friday morning. There isn't anything on the Nanawale Estates HOA site and there is no signage or caution tape at the spigots. Does anyone know what is going on?
Thanks much!
Cheers

Were the spigots there? They have been vandalized before.

Hi Leilaniguy - One of the four spigots was damaged at the end of February, correct. They've since removed the damaged one and added in a new support pole, but haven't added the new spigot, yet. The other three taps were working fine up until at least Friday morning which is when I found none of them would work. We checked again last night and still no water. Two of the tap handles would turn but no water came out, the third one wouldn't even turn - seemed to be jammed or locked completely closed (or open?).
Cheers

Do you then have to drive to the spigots near Pahoa, or are there closer ones?

Hi Jon,
We used it as an excuse to go for a drive and got water from the Kalapana spigots, but I believe on the Pahoa/Keaau road there are at least three other public taps you can access.
Update - water is now turned back on and the fourth tap is now 100% fixed. Looks like they turned off the water to repair the tap over the weekend but didn't put up any notices or info prior to the project.
Thanks!
