My wife and I put up much of our hard earned money on the line and bought a lot without knowing neighbors. Anyways after about a year, I noticed small white boxes on the lot through google earth. I was concerned naturally, because, basically I thought that people started using the land as a dump site. I sent my wife over for a couple of weeks on a recon mission. She met the neighbors and came home with a couple of mason jars of fresh honey! I cannot tell you how relieved I am that the boxes were beehives. She also opened up a dialog with them and we started our relations out on the right foot in that we are already starting to share. I do not mind AT ALL that they want to put a couple of boxes on the land. I am learning all I can about planting native plants and the very real problems that occur with invasive plants. (and animals for that matter). When we do finally build a small structure on that lot, we are in total mutual agreement as to not cut down the ohia trees! ps. I'm not worried about the neighbors dog in that you cannot hear anything over the frogs anyway
