Highlights of the World Conservation Congress
#1
Last month scientists and environmentalists from around the world met in Honolulu, and lots of information was shared and new initiatives were promulgated. Most of us couldn't attend, but we can have a second chance to find out what happened from those who did.(Not everything has been reported in the newspaper.)

On Wed., Oct. 12th, starting at 4 pm at the Nanawale Estates facility, Malama O Puna has invited 3 speakers who attended the conference and are happy to share what they learned with the rest of us.They are Flint Hughes, Ann Kobsa and Page Else.

Following their presentations, Malama O Puna will have their annual general membership meeting, with election of officers and reports on ongoing and future projects. The public is welcome to stay for the meeting portion. There will also be an opportunity to become a MOP member, and volunteer for projects. Also MOP's unique tees, tanks and shopping bags will be available for sale.

Hope to see you there. A hui hou,
Rene
