Couple of funny things I saw on 130
#1
First was a guy in a car driving with his left foot out the window. Seems like this would be an uncomfortable if not somewhat dangerous situation.
Second was a guy using his left hand as a sort of windshield wiper during some rain. The windshield had a big crack in it. I have no idea how he kept control of his truck.

I guess people here are pretty limber, never seen anything like it anywhere else!

No we are not in the Americas, we are on the fringes of Polynesia.
We are however the 50th State of the "United States of America"
Although that might be hard to believe at times.
I veer between exasperation and laughter at those (daily) times.

Otherwise known as Big Island optional automotive backup systems. The foot out the window is auxiliary AC. If there's two holes in the floorboard and a guy's wearing boots, that's a man lucky enough to have Big Island emergency brakes.

I personally dislike the uniformity, rules, regulations and constant enforcement on the mainland. I embrace the mix of chaos and individualism here, even if it puts people at risk. A little Darwinism is also a part of life.
