Mgambo Keiki or seeds/Velvet bead plant
#1
Anyone have a Mgambo bush I can get a cutting or a keiki from? Latin name majidea zanguebarica. You can use the velvety seeds to make velvet bead jewelry with after they dry out.

Always wanted to plant one, haven't stumbled across one in my travels.

the small trees are seen on craiglist from time to time, but none right now... the Hilo guys seeds are expensive... some nurseries can order them for you, Id call around....

this is the best deal for seeds I see right now, 13 cents each, and fresh undrilled... for growing from seed, a much stronger plant than a cutting...

soapberry family, related to the indigenous Aalii and Manele we have up near HVNP and within the park....

save our indigenous and endemic Hawaiian Plants... learn about them, grow them, and plant them on your property, ....instead of all that invasive non-native garbage I see in most yards... aloha

Mahalo Bananahead, I went ahead and ordered some Mgambo from Seeds and More, bought some seeds from them a few years ago. Such a unique plant!
