For those who were wondering what was up with the hovering helicopter, fire trucks, and ambulances just south of HS/HB on Beach Road about an hour or two ago... some hiker (local, native) got lost in the jungle. I talked to his wife and some firemen while doing my weekly bicycle workout, then wound up doing some sort of cross between Paul Revere and the coconut wireless with all my fellow pedestrians/gawkers.
1st lap: "What's going on?"
2nd lap: "Some guy's lost!"
3rd lap: "What can we do?"
4th lap: "They found him! He's OK!"
I don't know if he needed medical attention or just needed to be pointed in the right direction. Judging from the helicopter, he probably wasn't more than 200 yards from the road.
