Mimosa, You should write a book, I can't even imagine how much interesting history of Hawaii you know.

"Do not feed the troll" redirects here. For the Wikipedia advice, see WikipediaBig Grineny recognition.

In Internet slang, a troll (/#712;tro#650;l/, /#712;tr#594;l/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal, on-topic discussion,[3] often for the troll's amusement.

A bit hypocritical wouldn't you say Obie? Negativity appears to follow you like a dark cloud.

This post following yours says it all:

Well, that escalated quickly.

IMHO palanakonu's response addressed shoreresident's complaint adequately and diplomatically, Done.

Obie came along: "a troll is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal, on-topic discussion,[3] often for the troll's amusement."

During my short time on Punatalk I've observed you have history of your own. You pull manipulative "jokes" (quoting your word), stir the pot to instigate emotional and negative responses oftentimes in a hit and run mode. You must get a rise out of winding people up. It's manipulative. Isn't that the definition of troll behavior?

Same here. Saved them $20 for the credit and background check.

IMHO Carey did a better job of informing potential landlords tactfully without drama if that's how you choose to look at this.

It started on this page between Obie and shoresresident and the aftermath of her pot stirring then...

and continued here.

Leo I get what you're saying and tend to agree w/your summation of the "pot stirring/drama" that goes on unnecessarily against others.

The question is what's going on w/all these rental solicitations by Shoreresident? By the links shared here, there was a thread started in 2013, 2015 and 2016 yet shoreresident says they lived in their last home for 7 yrs.????? Hmmm...

Oh pardon me! I got that wrong Shoreresident.

Hi everyone I am looking for a rental in the Hawaiian Beaches/Shores area. We were in our last home for seven years. The home we are in now is going up for sale and we have been there for a year. We are quiet people who take excellent care of the home we live in.

So that actually coincides w/the 2016 rental solicitations. Good luck w/your house hunting!
